Hilary Swank

 Hilary Ann Swank, born July 30 1974 is an American actress. Her first role was on the show Camp Wilder (1992). She made her debut in film in Buffy the Vampire Slayer (1992). She then had her breakthrough for starring as Julie Pierce in The Next Karate Kid (1994), the fourth installment in The Karate Kid franchise, and also as Carly Reynolds on the eighth season of Beverly Hills, 90210 (1997-1998).Swank gained international recognition for her performance as Brandon Teena, a transgender man, in Kimberly's Boys Don't Cry (1999) and as Maggie Fitzgerald, an aspiring boxer in Clint Eastwood's Million Dollar Baby (2004). The film was highly praised for her performance and was awarded many awards which included two Academy Awards for Best Actress. Time listed her as one of the top 100 influential people worldwide in 2005. She also starred in films Conviction (2010), Amelia (2009) You're Not You (2010), What They Did (2018) as well as Conviction (2010). Other notable films she's produced include Iron Jawed Angels (2004) as well as the TV movie Logan Lucky (2014), Fatale (2020) and The Homesman (2014). She began her television career as a guest star on Alaska Daily in 2022. Her mother, Judy Kay (nee Clough), was a secretary and dancer as was her father.
