Amanda Bearse

 Amanda Bearse, born August 9, 1958 is an American comedian, actress and director. In Fright Night (1985), the supernatural horror film she then played Marcy Rhoades-D'Arcy in Fox's sitcom Married... with Children (1987-1997). Bearse then began her career as a director of television, directing more than 90 episodes of the comedy series.Bearse grew up in Winter Park, Florida. When she graduated from Winter Park High School in 1976, her family moved to Atlanta.She attended Rollins College, Birmingham Southern College and Young Harris College, where she received an associate of arts degree.] Bearse was a student of acting at the New York City's Neighborhood Playhouse under instructor Sanford Meisner. From 1982 to 1983, Bearse was the main character of Amanda Cousins on ABC's daytime soap opera All My Children. She was a small part in Protocol which starred Goldie Hawn. Later she was cast in Fraternity Vacation which is a sexy comedy. In 1985, Bearse played the female leading role in the horror movie of supernatural origins Fright Night. Her return to television was with a guest-starring role in the ABC drama series Hotel in the year 1986. The following year as Marcy Rhoades (later Marcy Da'Arcy), the feminist neighbor in the sitcom of Fox.
