When she was 10, Allie along with her mom left their native Mississippi to pursue Allie's inherent ambition to become an actor. When she arrived in Los Angeles and began auditioning. Within a short time she was invited to guest actor on "Weeds" the Showtime pilot. Little did she know that she would become an ongoing series regular. The show won five Emmy Awards, three Golden Globes and was nominated in five seasons. Allie as well as the entire team were also nominated for the award-winning Best Cast Ensemble at the Screen Actor's Guild Awards in both 2007 and 2009.In 2011, her ABC show "Suburgatory" was launched to awe-inspiring both critics and viewers and was the highest rated series in six years for the time slot of the network. The show was developed by Emily Kapnek (producer and author of "Parks and Recreation") and is a satirical examination of suburban life through Tessa and George (Jane Levy and Jeremy Sisto), a teenage girl who lost her father and is disillusioned with her mother. Tessa finds herself immersed in the tiniest, undiscovered neighborhood and makes friends with Lisa Shay (Grant).
