Allie Grant

When she was 10 years old, Allie along with her mom left their native Mississippi to pursue her desire to be an actor. When she arrived in Los Angeles, she began auditioning and soon found herself appearing on the Showtime pilot "Weeds" as an actor as a guest, but little did she know that she would later become a regular on the show. The show won five Emmy Awards, three Golden Globes and was nominated in five seasons. Allie as well as her crew were also nominated at the Screen Actor's Guild Awards for the award-winning Best Ensemble Cast in 2007 and in 2009. In 2011 Allie's ABC series "Suburgatory" that was highly acclaimed by critics and viewers alike, premiered to a throng of enthusiastic audiences. It was the most watched show on ABC over the course of six years. The show was created by Emily Kapnek, (producer and writer of "Parks and Recreation") the show is a satirical exploration of suburban life through the eyes of Manhattan residents Tessa and George (Jane Levy and Jeremy Sisto), a depressed teenager and her single father. As Tessa sinks deeper into the obscure little area, she comes across Lisa Shay (Grant),
