Alicia Sacramone

 Alicia Marie Sacramone Quinn (/,saekr@'moUniborn on December 3 1987) is a retired American artistic gymnast. At the 2008 Summer Olympics she took home the silver medal. She is also the 2005 World Champion in floor exercise and the 2010 World Champion in vault. She has a total of eleven World Championship and Olympic medals, Sacramone is the fourth most decorated U.S. female gymnast, following Simone Biles (30), Shannon Miller (16), and Nastia Liukin (14).Sacramone was born in Boston on December 3, 1987 and was the daughter of parents Fred, an orthodontist, as well as Gail Sacramone, a hairstylist and owner of a salon. The girl is of Italian origin and has an older brother, Jonathan. She graduated from Winchester High School in 2006.She began dancing at the age of five[9and began gymnastics three years later, in 1996. She began training with Mihai and Silvia Brestyan in a gym named Gymnastics and More, and was there when they launched their own gym in Ashland, Massachusetts. Sacramone was coached by the Brestyans throughout her entire career. She made it to the national team in 2003.
