Alicia Sacramone

 Alicia Marie Sacramone Quinn,"saekr@'moUni," was born on December 3, 1987 and is a retired American artist gymnast. In the 2008 Summer Olympics she was awarded a silver medal. She is also the 2005 World Champion in floor exercise and 2010 World Champion in vault. Sacramone has won a total eleven World Championship and Olympic medals. She is fourth in the top five the most accomplished U.S. female gymnasts behind Shannon Miller (16), Nastia Luukin (14) and Simone Biles (31). Sacramone was born to Fred Sacramone and his orthodontist, as well as Gail Sacramone (a hairstylist, salon owner) on the 3rd of December 1987. She is of Italian descent and is the older sister of, Jonathan. She graduated from Winchester High School in 2006.She began dancing at the age of 5[9and began gymnastics three years later in 1996 She trained with Mihai and Silvia Brestyan in a gym named Gymnastics and More, and joined them after they established their own gym in Ashland, Massachusetts. The Brestyans played the role of coaches for Sacramone throughout her career.Sacramone started competing at the top level in 2002. She made the national team for the first time in 2003.
