Alexi McCammond

    Alexi Jo McCammond was born 1993/1994 and is a political journalist. As a contributor for MSNBC and NBC and NBC, she was an contributor to PBS's Washington Week. She is currently a reporter at Axios. McCammond was featured as one of 2020's Forbes 30 Under 30. She received training from the National Association of Black Journalists. McCammond was also a student journalist at the University of Chicago. She was also a Kappa Alpha Theta member. She is of mixed-ethnic descent.McCammond started her professional career as a political freelance writer for the women's publication Cosmopolitan before moving on to become a news editor at the women's news online magazine Bustle. The publication was acquired by the website Axios in the year 2017. McCammond wrote about Michael Bloomberg's withdrawal from the 2020 Democratic primary race in March 2020, as well as the leaked schedules for the president that reveal that 60 percent of the days of Donald Trump were devoted to "executive time" when he was president.
