Alexi McCammond

 Alexi Jo McCammond was born 1993/1994 . She is a political journalist. As a contributor to MSNBC and NBC as well as an contributor to PBS's Washington Week. She is currently a reporter at Axios. McCammond appeared on 2020's Forbes 30 Under 30 list.McCammond was a student at Guilford High School in Rockford, Illinois.In 2011, she attended the University of Chicago on a full 4-year QuestBridge scholarship, graduating in the year 2015 with an A.B. in sociology and Spanish language and literature.She received additional training from the National Association of Black Journalists. When she was at the University of Chicago, McCammond also wrote for student the newspaper for political news called The Gate.At the University, she was a member in the Kappa Alpha Theta fraternity. McCammond is of mixed ethnicity. Her career began as a reporter for Cosmopolitan after which she moved on to work as a news editor for Bustle. In 2017, she joined Axios. McCammond wrote about the decision of Michael Bloomberg to withdraw from the 2020 Democratic primary race in March 2020, as also leaks of presidential schedules that revealed that 60 percent of the days of Donald Trump were dedicated to "executive time" during his presidency.
