 Agnes Yulo Diego (born February 16th, 1993) is known on the internet as Akidearest is a Filipino-American YouTuber. She is most famous for talking about manga, anime as well as Japanese-related content on her YouTube channelDiego established her second YouTube channel, which is currently "Akidearest" on December 18 14th, 2014, with a focus on discussing anime, manga and otaku-related culture. the first of her videos, "REACTION: DMMD Love Scene" where Diego reacts to scenes from Dramatical Murder, was released on December 26 in 2014. It is considered to be her breakthrough video, "5 Songs That Will alter The Way You See Vocaloid," was released on January 12th, 2016; the video discusses topics that casual listeners to fans of Vocaloid may not expect.On August 21, 2017, Akidearest reached 1 million subscribers.From 2017 to 2018 Diego hosted a weekly SBS podcast called The Anime Show, with Joseph Bizinger (The Anime Man) The show was broadcast for 68 episodes and included discussions on manga, anime and the otaku culture.In January 2019, Diego moved to Japan after which her channel grew to include her experiences living in Japan.The Diego was featured on The World Next Door by Rose City Games that year.
