 Agnes Yulo Diego, born February 16, 1993 is a Filipino-American YouTuber. Her YouTube channel, Akidearest, is best known for her discussions about manga, anime, and the otaku world. Diego created her second YouTube channel, "Akidearest," on December 18, 2014. It focuses on manga, anime, and the otaku world. Diego's first YouTube video, "REACTION DMMD Love Scene," which sees Diego react to an episode in the drama Dramatical Murder was released December 26, 2014. It is considered to be her breakthrough video, "5 Songs That Will Change The way you see Vocaloid," was released on January 12, 2016. The video explores topics that casual viewers to fans of Vocaloid may not expect.On August 21 the 21st of August, 2017, Akidearest was able to reach one million subscribers.From 2017 until the year 2018, Diego hosted an ongoing weekly SBS podcast titled, The Anime Show, with Joseph Bizinger (The Anime Man), which ran for 68 episodes that discussed about anime, manga and the otaku culture.In January of 2019, Diego moved to Japan after which her channel grew to include her experiences while living in Japan.The The same year, Diego also made an appearance as an in-game character in The World Next Door, by Rose City Games
