Marcia Cross

 Marcia Anne Cross (born March 25 1962) is an American actress. She appeared in daytime soaps like The Edge of Night, Another World, and One Life to Live before transitioning to primetime TV with a regular role on Knots Landing. From 1992 to 1997, she was the lead actress on Kimberly Shaw on Melrose Place. Cross was the housewife Bree Van de Kamp in the ABC series Desperate Housewives, which ran from 2004 to 2012. She received three Golden Globe Awards and a Primetime Emmy nomination for Outstanding Lead Actress in the field of Comedy Series. Cross played a frequent role in the role of President Claire Haas in the ABC series Quantico. She is English-Irish and was born in Marlborough. Janet Cross is a teacher, and Mark J Cross (1923-2021), are her parents. Cross was raised Catholic. She graduated from Marlborough High School, 1980. She also received a Juilliard half-scholarship. Cross finished college in 1984, earning the degree of B.F.A. Cross studied acting. She returned to Juilliard in 1997, and earned an MA in psychology from Antioch University Los Angeles.
