Alanah Pearce (born 24 August 1993) is an Australian video game journalist and former journalist. Since the year 2020, Pearce has worked for American game creator Santa Monica Studio.Pearce has written about video games for several media outlets, including the entertainment news site IGN. From 2018 to 2020 she worked for production firm Rooster Teeth. In this period she hosted the Inside Gaming news show and was involved in its Funhaus division, which develops video games. Pearce was born in Cairns but later lived for 9 years living in Brisbane. Since her early years, she was interested in writing and video games. She also enjoyed writing reviews of video games in diary entries. She found a job posting for a volunteer journalist position in the call center. This motivated her to become a journalist. She graduated with a bachelor's in mass communication from Queensland University of Technology, Brisbane.
