Alanah Pearce, a former journalist and writer for videogames born in Australia, was born on 24 August 1993. Since 2020, Pearce has worked for American game developer Santa Monica Studio.Pearce has reported on video games for various news outlets , including entertainment news site IGN. Between 2018 and 2020, she worked for production company Rooster Teeth. During this time she was host of the Inside Gaming news show and was part of the Funhaus division which produces video games. Pearce was born in Cairns and spent nine years in Brisbane. At a very young age she was fascinated by writing and video games. She also enjoyed doing reviews of video games in her diaries. Her search led her to a job advertisement for a journalist job in an office call center. This inspired her to pursue a career as journalist. She earned a bachelor's degree in mass communications from the Queensland University of Technology, Brisbane.
