Aisling Bea

 Aisling Cliodhnadh Odson (born 16 March 1984) is also known as Aisling Bee (/'aeSlINGor"ASH-ling BEA"), is an Irish comedian, actor, and writer. She wrote, performed and produced the comedy series This Way Up, which was aired on Channel 4. As a stand-up comedian , she was awarded the "So You Think You Are Funny?" award. award during the Edinburgh Fringe Festival in 2012 and was the second woman to be awarded the award during its 25-year history.he often appears on light entertainment comedy panel programs like QI and 8 out of 10 Cats.Bea was born in Kildare, Ireland. Her father, Brian, was a horse veterinarian who passed away by suicide when Bea was only three years old. She was not told how he had died until she reached 13.She adopted the stage name "Bea" as a tribute to her father, taking the name from a shorter form of his initial name. Bea and her younger sister, Sinead,were raised by their mother, Helen (nee Moloney) an educator at secondary schools who was previously a trainer for jockeys in the Racing Academy and Centre of Education and was a professional jockey. The family was "obsessed" with racing and horses. In the early years of her life, Bea worked as a tour guide at the Irish National Stud, but knew from a young age that she wasn't at all interested in the world of horse racing and rather enjoyed performing.Her great-aunt was playwright , Siobhan Ni Shuilleabhainand musician Liam O'Flynn was a family acquaintance.
