Aisling Cliodhnadh Olson (born 16 March 1984) Also known as Aisling Bee (/'aeSlING/ A-SH-ling BEA), is an Irish comedian, actor and writer. She wrote, starred and produced the comedy show This Way Up, which was telecast on Channel 4. As a stand-up comedian she was awarded the "So You Think You Are Funny?" award. She was born in Kildare in Ireland. Brian Her father, was a vet for horses who took his own life when he was the age of three. Bea was not informed about his death until thirteen. She adopted the stage name "Bea" to honor him by with a shorter form of his first name. Bea as well as Sinead were raised by Helen (nee Moloney) as their mother. Helen was a secondary school teacher, and she was a jockey trainer at both the Racing Academy of Education and Centre of Education. Bea's family was fascinated by racing and horses. As a child, Bea was a tour guide at Irish National Stud. However, she knew early on that she was not interested in horse racing , and was obsessed with races.
