Aimee Garcia

 Aimee Sandimes Garcia Lopez de Ordonez, a American actor and writer. She is well-known for her roles on television as Veronica Palmero on the ABC sitcom George Lopez, Yvonne Sanchez on the CBS period drama Vegas, Jamie Batista on the Showtime drama Dexter and Ella Lopez on the Fox/Netflix drama Lucifer.Aimee Garcia was born in Chicago, Illinois.Her mother, Eloisa is from Pachuca, Hidalgo, Mexico and she graduated from Northwestern University's dental college; her father, Hector, is from San Juan, Puerto Rico and served serving in the U.S. Armed Forces.Garcia started acting in commercials when she was a child, and participated in theater at seven years young. She was raised in Oak Park, Illinois, where she attended Fenwick High School. Piven Theatre Workshop taught her acting while she was at school. She appeared in local musicals and plays throughout her period at Northwestern University, where she triple majored in journalism, economics as well as French.After having graduated, she resigned from acting for a while and did finance work as an analyst for mutual funds in Brooklyn, New York. Not satisfied with her job moving to Los Angeles, California, around 2002 in order to pursue acting as her profession.
