 Aimee Sandimes Garcia de Ordonez is an American actor and writer. She is known for her TV roles as Veronica Palmero on the ABC sitcom George Lopez, Yvonne Sanchez on the CBS period drama Vegas, Jamie Batista on the Showtime drama Dexter and Ella Lopez on the Fox/Netflix drama Lucifer.Aimee Garcia was born in Chicago, Illinois.Her mother, Eloisa, is from Pachuca, Hidalgo, Mexico, and graduated from Northwestern University's dental school. her father, Hector, is from San Juan, Puerto Rico, and was serving in the U.S. Armed Forces.Garcia started acting in commercials as a child, and participated in the theater when she was seven years old. older. She grew up in Oak Park, Illinois and went to Fenwick High School. While at the school, she was enrolled in acting classes at the Piven Theatre Workshop. She performed in local musicals and plays throughout her period at Northwestern University, where she triple majored in journalism, economics and French.After graduation, she stopped acting for a while and began work in finance for an analyst of mutual funds in Brooklyn, New York. Dissatisfied with her work and her new surroundings, she relocated to Los Angeles, California, in 2002, in order to pursue acting as her profession.
