Adele Jergens

 She was born Adele Louisa Jurgens in Brooklyn, New York. Some sources say she was Jurgenson. In the 1940s, she was briefly as a Rockette and later called the top New York City showgirl. Her birth name was Adele Louisa Jurgens (some sources suggest Jurgenson). In the latter part of the 1930s she became a star when she was awarded Miss World's Fairest in the 1939 New York World's fair. She was Glamourpuss Carol Curtis on the 1950s radio program Stand By for Crime with her husband Glenn Langan.
