Mare Of Easttown

One year and a half following the finale of the highly acclaimed HBO limited series, Mare Of Easttown, folks are still talking about the possibility of a new season. Mare Sheehan herself, Kate Winslet claims that the future of the series remains uncertain. Winslet spoke to Josh Horowitz on the Happy Sad Confused podcast in a new interview. "All I can say is that there's no final decision. It really hasn't."Both Winslet and Mare Of Easttown's creator Brad Ingelsby have teased ideas for a new season of the Emmy-winning series, however, it seems as if nothing's taken on a true form yet."It's difficult to say, being honest about... Oh god We're here. The show will be quoted and re-quoted," Winslet explains. "How will that change? These are questions that which we cannot currently answer. What will happen in the future? It was all so good and it was far more well-known and popular in its own right than I believe anyone would have imagined, and we all feel extremely proud of what we could accomplish. I am so happy for all the actors."The first installment of Mare Of Easttown was a big win for HBO's programs. Along with its success Season one earned 16 Emmy nominations, with wins for stars Winslet, Evan Peters, and Julianne Nicholson."My God, it was really tough. Winslet asks, "Do you quit while you are ahead?" "Do you raise your head high and say"Look at the things we accomplished I'm so proud of that' , and walk away? Winslet is also aware of the difficulties of playing a character such as Mare. The amount of trauma that the detective had to go through in the first season could make a follow-up season more challenging.
