 Claire Rhiannon Holt, born June 11, 1988, plays the role of "Rebekah Miaelson" in The Vampire Diaries (2008) as well as The Originals (2013). Her most memorable roles include "Samara Cook" in Pretty Little Liars (2010), "Chastity Meyer" in Mean Girls 2 (2011) and "Emma Gilbert" in H2O: Just Add Water (2006).Claire was born in Brisbane, Australia. The year 2005 was the last time she attended she was a graduate of Stuartholme School, Toowong. She participates in a variety of activities, including swimming, volleyball, water polo, and Tae-Kwon-Do, in which she holds a black belt. As a child, she was involved in her school's choir.In 2006, she won the role in the role of "Emma Gilbert" in the Network Ten children's television series, H2O: Just Add Water (2006). The show was awarded a Logie Award and Nickelodeon Australia Kids' Choice Award. The show was renewed for the third season, but she left after series 2. She signed on for The Messengers (2007)'s sequel, Messengers 2: The Scarecrow (2008). Filming took place in Sofia, Bulgaria throughout 2008. The film, which features Heather Stephens and Norman Reedus, was released straight-to DVD on 21 July 2009. The actress was confirmed as "Rebekah Miaelson" in The Vampire Diaries (2009) in August 2011. She has also been in commercials for Sizzler Restaurant, Dreamworld, and Queensland Surf Lifesaving. BuddyTV ranked her #55 in its 100 Sexiest TV Women of 2011.
