Netflix's Ginny & Georgia could have served as a pretext for a Gilmore Girls-style TV show--a tender mother-daughter drama made for easy viewing and digestible life lessons. Instead, Sarah Lampert and Debra J. Fisher, the showrunner have filled the show with the fullest. Each episode is a tale of whiplash, love interests and deceit as well as friendships that are new, a mayoral race, and even criminal activity. Ginny & Georgia is a blend of thriller and coming-of-age tale. There's also a lot of fun in the mix. The plot is a blend of come-of-age and thriller stories and the main characters are in the middle of a crisis. Season one started with season one. Following a series of traumatic incident, Georgia Miller (Brianne Howey), an intelligent 30-year-old single mom is enticed to move to New England with her daughter Ginny (Antonia Gentry), 15 years old, and son Austin (Diesel La Torraca) nine years after. The 10 episodes of the first season explored Ginny's relationships with her mother who is secretive and evasive, as well as her first attempts to establish a relationship and friendship.
