Colin Kaepernick

 Colin Rand Kaepernick is an American professional football quarterback. When he was a kid Kaepernick was interested in football, baseball, and basketball, playing the three major American sports with considerable success. He began playing football at eight, having been accepted in a youth football league as a defensive end and punter. The following year when he was the team's quarterback, and threw his very first pass for a long touchdown. As a pitcher, he could throw fastballs with speeds of speeds of 94 miles per hour. He was also a part of his high school baseball team. In basketball, he was able to lead his team to win a state championship in high school. Despite earning the majority of his high school awards in the field of baseball, Kaepernick was adamant about playing football at college. He was a student at the University of Nevada, Reno and was a part of their Nevada Wolf Pack football program. He was selected by the San Francisco 49ers as a backup quarterback. At 25, he was instrumental in the 49ers making it to the NFC championship. In 2016, he faced criticism and praised for protesting against the oppression faced by non-white Americans.
