Rose McGowan

 Rosa Arianna "Rose” McGowan [note 1] was born the 5th of September, 1973. She is an American actor, activist, and singer. McGowan's first film appearance was in Encino Man (1992), where she played a short role. She was awarded an Independent Spirit Award nomination as the Best Debut Performance for The Doom Generation (1995). She made her debut in the horror film Scream (1996) as well as subsequently featured in the movies Going All the Way (1997), Devil in the Flesh (1998) and Jawbreaker (1999).During the decade of 2000, McGowan became known to television audiences for her role as Paige Matthews in The WB supernatural drama series Charmed (2001-2006). McGowan also appeared in Robert Rodriguez's film Grindhouse (2007). She was awarded the Saturn Award for Best Actress as well as the Scream Award to be the most outstanding Scream Queen. In the action thriller series Chosen (2014), she was Josie Acosta. McGowan was called the Silence Breakers by Time magazine in 2017. She was praised for her advocacy on sexual harassment and assault in connection with Harvey Weinstein's cases of sexual abuse, and the Me Too movement. She's published her memoir, Brave, and starred in the four-part documentary series Citizen Rose, both in 2018.Rosa Arianna McGowan was born on the 5th of September 1973 in Florence Italy to American parents Daniel McGowan, an artist,and Terri McGowan, writer. She has two half-siblings.Her father ran an Italian chapter of the Children of God, which both he and his wife were members of until 1978. McGowan was a child in the communes of the group frequently traveling across Europe together with her parents.
