Rachel Brosnahan

 Rachel Elizabeth Brosnahan (born July 12th on the 12th of July, 1990) is an American actress. She plays the role of Miriam "Midge" Maisel who is a comedian aspiring to be, in The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel, an Amazon Prime Video period comedy series (2017-2018), where she received nominations for an Primetime Emmy Award and two consecutive Golden Globe Awards as Best Actress – Television Series or Musical or Comedy in 2018, and 2019. Born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin to Carol and Earl Brosnahan who were involved in children's publishing, Brosnahan is currently an American actress. Her mother is British and her father is American and from Irish origin. Brosnahan was born in Highland Park, Illinois at age four. She has a younger brother, and a sister. Brosnahan is the niece of the late fashion designer Kate Spade (nee Brosnahan).Though she is well known for playing an Jewish character on television (Mrs. Maisel in The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel), Brosnahan herself is not of Jewish heritage. She claims that she was "happily immersed" in Jewish traditions due to the Jewish community of Highland Park, Illinois
