Francia Raisa Almendarez (born on July 26, 1988) is an American actor from the United States. Raisa Almendarez was born July 26, 1988. She is an American actress. Her father started using "El Cucuy", a Latin radio persona immediately following her birth. Raisa was a cheerleader at Bishop Alemany High School, Mission Hills, California. She began acting in her senior year of high school performing in commercials, as well as performing in print ads. She was a guest on in American Family: Journey of Dreams as well as Over There. Raisa was in Lil' Romo's music video "My Girlfriend" as Tamy in 2004 and in the music video of Iyaz "So Big". About a month into her senior year she booked one of her first leading roles, starring opposite Hayden Panettiere in Bring It On: All or Nothing. She starred in Shredderman Rules, a Nickelodeon film.
