Catherine Bach

 Catherine Bach (born Catherine Bachman born on March 1, 1954) is an American actress from the United States. Her credits include Daisy Duke on The Dukes of Hazzard, and Margo Dutton in African Skies. She was born in Cleveland, Ohio to Bernard P. Bachman (a rancher) and Norma Jean Kucera, an Acupuncturist. Her mother was a descendant of Antonio L. Verdugo, from Bisbee, Arizona, a baker who was born in Mexico and her father had German origins. She was raised in Warren, Ohio.Her mother, born into the Verdugo family was believed to descend from one of California's earliest settled families.She spent some of her childhood on a ranch in South Dakota,[10] and she visited grandparents in Faith, South Dakota. In the year 1970, Bach graduated from Stevens High School in Rapid City, South Dakota. Bach did a brief study of drama at UCLA. She created clothes for her friends and theatre groups to supplement her income. Her first professional appearance was with The Sound of Music as one of the children. Bach was the first actress to make an screen appearance in The Midnight Man (1973), a Burt Lancaster murder mystery. She was Natalie Claiburn, the victim of a brutal beating. Melody was her following film role in 1974's Thunderbolt and Lightfoot.
