American actress Allison Cara Tolman. Her most well-known role is her character Molly Solverson in the first season of the FX the television show Fargo. She has earned Emmy as well as Golden Globe nominations.Tolman has two older brothers and an older sister. Her family moved to England at the age of couple of months old, and she stayed until she was 4 years old. After five years living in Oklahoma and West Texas for the next five, she moved to Sugar Land, Texas. She began taking acting classes at the age of 10 years old at the Fort Bend Community Theatre. She attended Clements High School, graduating in 2000.She graduated from Baylor University with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in theatrical performance. Following college, she moved to Dallas, where she was one of the original members of Second Thought Theatre.In 2009, she relocated to Chicago, Illinois, to pursue a degree in performances at The Second City Training Center.In 2014, Tolman starred in the first season of the FX black comedy crime series Fargo. The show was based on the 1996 classic Coen brothers film with the same title, Fargo starred veteran actors Billy Bob Thornton, Martin Freeman and Bob Odenkirk. Tolman was praised for her portrayal of Molly Solverson (Minnesota police officer), and Vanity Fair wrote that she "calmly, assuredly took over the stage." Tolman was awarded the Critics' Choice Television Award for Best Supporting Actress In a Movie/Miniseries, and was also nominated for Best Actress at the Emmy Awards as well as for the Golden Globes.
