Allison Tolman

 Allison Cara Tolman is an American actress from the United States. Her character in the role of Molly Solverson on the first season of FX's television show Fargo is her most well-known. The actress received Emmy as well as Golden Globe nominations. Her family moved to England when she was just a little over a month old and continued to stay until she was 4 years old. She lived for the subsequent five years living in Oklahoma as well as West Texas, before moving to Sugar Land, Texas. She started taking acting classes when she was 10 years old and was enrolled in the Fort Bend Community Theatre. Clements High School was her high school. She graduated in 2000. Baylor University awarded her a Bachelor in Fine Arts in theatre performance. She moved to Dallas after college to become a founding member of Second Thought Theatre. In 2009, Tolman moved to Chicago to further her studies at The Second City Training Center. Tolman was the star of Fargo the FX black comedy crime drama. Based on the iconic 1996 Coen brothers film with the same title, Fargo starred veteran actors Billy Bob Thornton, Martin Freeman and Bob Odenkirk. Tolman was recognized for her performance as Molly Solverson (Minnesota police officer) and Vanity Fair wrote that she "calmly, assuredly took the show to the next level". She won the Critics Choice Television Award for Best Supporting Actress in a Film/Miniseries and was nominated for Best Actress at the Emmy Awards as well as for the Golden Globes.
