Allison Janney

 Allison Brooks Janney was born on the 19th of November, 1959. She is an American actress. Her roles on screen and stage have been acclaimed over three decades of career. Janney has been awarded numerous accolades including an Academy Award and a British Academy Film Award. She was also nominated for two Tony Awards. After a string of uncredited, minor film and television appearances, Janney's breakthrough came with the part in the role of C. J. Cregg in the NBC political drama The West Wing (1999-2006), for which she received four Primetime Emmy Awards. In 2014, she won the Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Guest Actress in a Drama Series for her character of Margaret Scully on the Showtime period drama Masters of Sex. Janney received nominations six times for the Primetime Emmy Awards, and twice won Outstanding Supporting Actress In Comedy Series for her portrayal as Bonnie Plunkett (2013-2021).
