Allison Janney

 Allison Brooks Janney (born November 19th, 1959)[is an American actress. Her performance on stage and screen have been highly praised throughout the course of her three-decade-long career. Janney has received various accolades such as an Academy Award, a British Academy Film Award as well as an Golden Globe Award, and seven Primetime Emmy Awards, in addition to nominations for two Tony Awards.Born in Boston and raised in Dayton, Ohio, Janney received a scholarship for studying at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art after her graduation from Kenyon College. After a few years of uncredited and minor TV and film appearances her breakthrough came in the part of C. J. Cregg in the NBC political drama The West Wing (1999-2006), for which she received four Primetime Emmy Awards. For her role in the Showtime drama Masters of Sex, Margaret Scully's guest acting on the show won her the 2014 Primetime Emmy Award. In her role as Bonnie Plunkett, a cynical recovering addict on the CBS sitcom Mom (2013-2021), Janney was awarded six Primetime Emmy Award nominations and received two awards for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Comedy Series.
