Alissa White-Gluz (/@'li:s@ 'gl^z/;[born 31 July, 1985) is a Canadian singer who is most well-known for her role as the lead singer of the Swedish melodic death metal group Arch Enemy. She was also the lead vocalist and founding member of the Canadian metalcore group, The Agonist.Her vocal style includes both singing and growling (singing). White-Gluz is a singer from Canada who is well-known for her mellow death metal and metalcore songs. She also was third in her family of three. Her parents were detained in prison camps during World War II, but she was able to escape. Camp experiences inspired the song of Arch Enemy "First Day in Hell". She is the younger sister of Jasamine White-Gluz, the lead singer of the Montreal-based band No Joy.
