Sally Field

 American actress Sally Margaret Field was born November 6, 1946. She is well-known for her work on stage and screen and stage, she has won numerous accolades throughout her career that spans over five decades. Among them are two Academy Awards, two Golden Globe Awards as well as three Primetime Emmy Awards, in addition to nominations for a Tony Award and two British Academy Film Awards. In 2014, she was awarded an honorary star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, the Kennedy Center Honor in 2019 in addition to a Screen Actors Guild Life Achievement Award for 2023. She began her TV career in the sitcoms Gidget (1965-1966), The Flying Nun (67-1970) and The Girl with Something Extra (1973-1974). For her performance in Sybil (1976), the NBC television film Sybil the actress was honored with the Primetime Emmy Award as Outstanding Lead Actress in the short Series or Movie. Her first appearance in a film was in the role of an extra Moon Pilot (1962) followed by roles as a star in Stay Hungry (1976), The Way West (1976) Smokey and the Bandit (1977), Heroes (1977), The End (1978) as well as Hooper (1978). She received two Academy Awards for Best Actress for Norma Rae (1979), and Places in the Heart (1984). She also appeared in Smokey and the Bandit II (1980), Absence Of Malice (1981), Kiss Me Goodbye (82), Murphy's Romance (1885), Steel Magnolias (1989), Steel Magnolias (1989), Steel Magnolias (1989), Soapdish (1991), Mrs. Doubtfire(93) and Forrest Gump (1994).
