American actress Liza Snyder was born March 20th, 1968. She is known for her television roles, which include Officer Molly Whelan in the ABC (and syndicated) series Sirens, Linda in the NBC sitcom Jesse, Christine Hughes in the CBS sitcom Yes, Dear from 2000 to 2006, and Andi Burns on the CBS sitcom Man with a Plan from 2016 to 2020.Snyder was born in Northampton, Massachusetts. Her father is a theatre professor at Smith College, and her mother is a musician and singer. Her maternal grandparents were five-time Academy Award-winning composer Johnny Green, and the actress and reporter for the consumer Betty Furness.Snyder is graduated from New York City's Neighborhood Playhouse School of the Theatre where she studied acting under the direction of Sanford Meisner.Snyder began her acting career by appearing in TV dramas, such as The Trials of Rosie O'Neill and Murder, She Wrote. In 1993, she landed the lead part in the role of Molly Whelan in the ABC and later syndicated crime show Sirens. She appeared in two movies that were made for TV and also guest-starring on Pacific Blue and Chicago Hope. She was a frequent cast part of the NBC sitcom Jesse which starred Christina Applegate from 1998 to 2000. Mimi Leder directed her secondary role in Pay it Forward, her big screen debut. Snyder played Christine Hughes in Yes, Dear, a CBS sitcom. The series was cancelled in the year 2006.
