Helen Flanagan

Helen Flanagan (born 7 August 1990)is an English actor from England. She is most well-known for her role as Rosie Webster on the ITV soap drama Coronation Street, 2000 to 2012. The role was reprised in 2017, before she took her maternity leave. Flanagan was born in Bury in Greater Manchester, England. She was a student at Westholme School in Blackburn, Lancashire.Flanagan first appeared as Rosie Webster in Coronation Street in January 2000. In 2006, she was nominated for the honor of "Best Dramatic Performance from a young actor or actress" at the British Soap Awards, losing to Ellis Hollins of Hollyoaks. In 2007, she was nominated for "Villain of the Year" at the same awards, but this being a loss to Coronation Street co-star Jack P. Shepherd.In 2010 Flanagan starred in the Coronation Street spin-off Coronation Street: A Knights Tale as the character Rosie Webster. In 2011, she hosted her own Coronation Street spin-off Just Rosie, which explored the character Rosie Webster trying to build an acting career in London. Flanagan quit Coronation Street in February 2012 in order to pursue other interests. In November 2012 Flanagan was seventh in the twelveth series called I'm a Celebrity...Get Me Out Of Here! She was on Celebrity Super Spa in September 2013, a reality television show that was filmed in a Liverpool Salon. In January 2014, Flanagan starred in an episode of Celebrity Wedding Planner alongside Hugo Taylor on Channel 5. In August, she was seen as agency nurse Kirsty Brompton in an episode of Holby City. Flanagan was to reprise her role on Coronation Street as Rosie in February 2017. She went on maternity leave in June of 2018.
