Geena Davis

 Virginia Elizabeth "Geena", born on January 21, 1956 is an American actress and producer. She is the recipient of various accolades, including an Academy Award and a Golden Globe Award.After studying drama at Boston University, Davis made her acting debut in the movie Tootsie (1982) and then starred in the film The Fly (1986), which proved to be one of her first box-office hits. The fantasy film Beetlejuice (1988) helped bring her to the limelight, the drama The Accidental Tourist (1988) brought her the Academy Award for Best Supporting Actress. Through Thelma & Louise (1991) that earned her nominations for Academy Award for Best Actress She established herself as a leading actor. A League of Their Own (1992) also garnered her a Golden Globe Award nomination. But, her roles in the box office unsuccessful films Cutthroat Island (1995) and The Long Kiss Goodnight (1996), both directed by husband Renny Harlin was then followed by a long gap and decline in her career.Davis was the adoptive mother of the main character in the Stuart Little franchise (1999-2005) and also as the first female president of the United States in the television series Commander in Chief (2005-2006) and was awarded the Golden Globe Award for Best Actress in a Television Series Drama for her part in the latter. Marjorie Prime (2017) and Accidents Happen 2009 were her later films. She played the Dr. Nicole Herman character in Grey's Anatomy (2014-15, 2018) as well as the character of Regan MacNeil Angela Rance in The Exorcist's debut season (2017).
