Amanda Drury

 Amanda Drury, an Australian journalist and anchor for CNBC is anchor of news and hosts programming in business and finance in New York City. She was born on May 5, 1973. She was the co-host of the US version of Street Signs until its end on February 6, 2015. She also has appeared on other various CNBC programs as an expert on finance as well as business.Drury was born in Melbourne, Victoria, Australia. [citation neededThe Drury earned a bachelor's degree in fine arts, Japanese and French at the University of Melbourne. She also was a student at the Australian Film, Television and Radio School. Drury began her career in Japan as an international relations specialist. Her broadcasting career began in radio before making the switch to television, working for Bloomberg in Tokyo between 1999 and 2000. CNBC hired her in January 2001 , and she was employed for eight years in the Asia-Pacific headquarters of Singapore. In 2009, she was based in CNBC Sydney. She was transferred to CNBC's global headquarters located in New Jersey in May 2010. Her first assignment in CNBC USA was as the co-anchored host of "The Call". Drury has been on different CNBC programs and segments. She became the co-presenter of The Call (US version) in March 2011.Drury was a finalist at the 2007 and 2008 Asian Television Awards in the category of the Best News Presenter.
