Alia Bhatt

 Alia Bhatt, /'a:li@was born on 15 March 1993. She is a British actress who mainly works in Hindi films. One of the most highly paid actresses in India, she has appeared in Forbes India's Celebrity 100 list since 2014 and was presented with the TIME100 Impact Award in 2022.Born to the Bhatt family, she is the daughter of film director Mahesh Bhatt and actor Soni Razdan. After her first acting role as a young girl in the 1999 thriller Sangharsh in which she played her first lead part in Karan Johar's teenage film Student of the Year (2012). She was awarded the Filmfare Critics Award for Best Actress for her role as an innocent victim of kidnapping in the road drama Highway (2014) The film went on to gain a reputation for herself by playing leading roles in a variety of romantic films made by Johar's production company Dharma Productions as well as the coming-of-age thriller Dear Zindagi (2016).Bhatt won three Filmfare Awards for Best Actress for playing a victim of addiction in the crime thriller Udta Punjab (2016), an undercover spy in the thriller Raazi (2018) and a possessive partner in the musical drama Gully Boy (2019). After two films that weren't well received, she was praised for her portrayal of the main character in Gangubai Kathiawadi's film.
