Alexis Carra

 Alexis Carra was born in Tampa, Florida and is of Spanish, Cuban, and Argentinian descent. She was raised in Tampa, Florida and began her career as a dance instructor when she was just 2 years old. By her teenage years she began to dance with Tampa's Bay Ballet Theater and also studied in the company of Alvin Ailey and the Princeton Ballet while she pursued her love of musical theater. Being the daughter of a psychiatrist and psychologist, education was important to her . She enrolled in Yale University where she graduated with an B.A. in Theatre Studies, Cum Laude.During her time at Yale she was able to take a break and tour across the country in Ann Reinking's production of the legendary Tony Award winning musical, "Fosse" which cemented her love for musical theater. Following graduation, she went to New York and quickly procured parts in some of the most prestigious Broadway productions like "Wicked," "Sweet Charity," and "Fame on 42nd St." After the closing of the Broadway production, "The Pirate Queen" she decided to move to Los Angeles and since then she has been on the road for a long time. She has guest starred in TV shows like "Grey's Anatomy,"" "Castle," "The Mentalist," as well as "Bones." The talented actress was a regular on ABC's comedy "Mixology" (a mid-season replacement that is also available available on Netflix). She plays 'Jessica', a young mother who is looking for love and excitement after divorce.
