Alexis Carra

 Alexis Carra was born in Tampa, Florida and is of Spanish, Cuban, and Argentinian descent. She was raised there and started her profession as a dance instructor at age 2. When she was in her teens, she started to dance with Tampa's Bay Ballet Theater and also studied with Alvin Ailey and the Princeton Ballet while she pursued her passion for musical theater. As the daughter of a psychiatrist and a psychologist, education was important for her, and she enrolled at Yale University where she graduated with the B.A. in Theatre Studies, Cum Laude.During her time at Yale she was able to take a break and tour the country with Ann Reinking's production in the legendary Tony Award winning musical, "Fosse" that affirmed her passion for musical theatre. After graduation, she moved to New York and quickly procured roles in a variety of best Broadway shows including "Wicked," "Sweet Charity," and "Fame on 42nd St." After the end of the Broadway production, "The Pirate Queen" she decided to move to Los Angeles and since then, she has worked continuously. She has appeared as a guest in TV series like "Grey's Anatomy," "Castle," "The Mentalist," as well as "Bones." She was a frequent series part of ABC's comedy "Mixology", which can also be seen on Netflix. She is portrayed by 'Jessica' an attractive young mother looking to find love and fun while regaining her confidence following her divorce.
