Alexa Demie

 

Alexa Demie is an American actor and singer from the United States. Her most famous work is her role in the role of Maddy Perez on the HBO Teen Drama television show Euphoria. Demie began her feature film debut by appearing in a small role in the comedy-drama Brigsby Bear (2017), prior to appearing in the coming-of-age film Mid90s (2018) and the dramatic film Waves (2019). Demie was born in Los Angeles, California. She was raised in Atwater Village. Rose Mendez, her mother was a make-up artist who came to Mexico when she was a child and became pregnant with Demie in the early years of her life. Demie has admitted that she "didn't have the most masculine male figures in [her] life" or "much respect for men". Demie lived across the street from meth labs and was close to addicts who used meth. The Black Eyed Peas recording station was located just in the same block. She recalls that there was a lot of fighting at her home and that she fled her abusive family when she was a teenager to escape the toxic atmosphere. Demie said that her family was helpful and always there for her. She was bullied from the time she was in primary school through high school by her classmates. She began performing arts in her senior year of high school.
