Alex Witt

 Alexandra E. Witt was born April 9, 1961. She is an American television journalist. Witt joined MSNBC in the beginning of January 1999.Witt was born in Pasadena, California, and lived in the Hancock Park neighborhood of Los Angeles.Witt's father is Dr. Charles B. Witt known as a renowned Thoracic surgeon from Los Angeles. Witt graduated from the Marlborough School for Girls and the University of Southern California. She studied international relations, journalism, and journalism. Witt was first a field producer on the Today Show, Burbank, California. Her first broadcasting job was at KCBA in Salinas, California. Later, she was employed by KCBS-TV, KNBC-TV, and KABC-TV Each of these are situated in areas that are close to Los Angeles. From 1990-1992, she was an anchor for KCBA and WNYW-TV from 1996 to 1998. In 1999, Witt was with MSNBC as an anchor. She hosts Weekends with Alex Witt on MSNBC. Later, it was rebranded as MSNBC Reports.
