Alex Morgan, full name Alexandra Patricia Morgan (born July 2nd, 1989, in San Dimas (California), U.S.A), American professional football (soccer). She used her speed to become one the top scorers in the sport. The U.S. Women's National Team (USWNT), won two Women's World Cups in 2015 and in 2019. The American also took home a gold medal at 2012 London Olympics and a bronze at 2020 Tokyo Games. These achievements, along with her charisma and athleticism have made Morgan one of the top athletes and highest earners of U.S. women's soccer.Morgan grew up in Diamond Bar, California. Morgan played a variety of sports as a kid however, she only began to become committed to soccer when she turned 18. She received numerous honors and awards while attending University of California at Berkeley for her soccer skills. In 2010 Morgan graduated with a bachelor's degree in political economy.In the 2011 Women's Professional Soccer (WPS) draft, Morgan was selected as the number one overall pick by the Western New York Flash. The WPS was disbanded following Morgan's first season. After her first season, she joined the Seattle Sounders Women (later the Sound FC [Football Club]) that was a part of the Women of the United Soccer Leagues (now the Women's Premier Soccer League). She played alongside Megan Rapinoe, Hope Solo and a host of other soccer stars. After the 2012 season Morgan moved to the National Women's Soccer League.
