Alex Morgan, full name Alexandra Patricia Morgan (born July 2nd 1989 in San Dimas (California), U.S.A), American professional football (soccer). She used her speed to become one the top scorers in the game. The U.S. Women's National Team (USWNT), won two Women's World Cups in 2015 and in 2019. The American also took home a gold medal at 2012 London Olympics and a bronze at 2020 Tokyo Games. Morgan was born in Diamond Bar, California. She participated in many sports as a kid but didn't focus on soccer until she reached the age of a teenager. While attending the University of California at Berkeley She was awarded numerous honors and distinctions for her soccer abilities. In 2010 Morgan received a bachelor's degree in politics and economy.In the 2011 Women's Professional Soccer (WPS) selection process, Morgan was selected as the number one overall pick by the Western New York Flash. The end of her first season, however, the WPS was disbanded. She then joined the Seattle Sounders Women (later called the Sound FC [Football Club]) of the Women of the United Soccer Leagues (now part of the Women's Premier Soccer League). They played alongside other soccer stars, including Megan Rapinoe and Hope Solo. Following the 2012 season, Morgan made the move to the National Women's Soccer League.
