Alex Meneses

Meneses was born in Chicago, Illinois. She is of Mexican descent from her father's side, and Ukrainian descendant on her mother's side. Meneses was a student in the summer at Chicago's The Second City Improvisational Theater. After finishing high school, Meneses was offered a modeling position in Milan, Italy. While her first stay in Italy was only for 3 months, she was in love with the country and returned to the USA. She remained in Italy for two years before becoming an accomplished model. Meneses relocated to Los Angeles after she returned to the United States. She studied acting at the Lee Strasberg Institute. In 1995, Meneses became an actor on the regular roster of the Showtime comedy series Sherman Oaks. Then she was cast in the role of Teresa Morales, the role which replaced Michelle Bonilla in the last season of CBS the western drama series Dr. Quinn Medicine Woman. Selena was also in a support role in a number of films, including Auto Focus, The Flintstones in Viva Rock Vegas, and Selena.
