Alejandra Lara (born August 4, 1994) is an Colombian female mixed martial artist who is currently contracted to the Bellator MMA promotion. As as of October 4, 2022, she is #10 in the Bellator Women's Flyweight Rankings. 2Lara was able to make her MMA debut on 10 December 2011 at Extreme Combat MMA Senshi Ki 1 against Monica Leon, winning the fight in the first round by retirement.Before becoming a member of Bellator MMA, she amassed a record of 6 wins against 1 loss.Lara made her debut in the Bellator 190 ring Bellator 190 on December 9, 2017. In the third, she defeated Lena Ovchynnikova with a rear-naked choke submission. Bellator announced in February of 2018 that they extended her contract with the promotion.In her second fight for Bellator, Lara faced Ilima-Lei Macfarlane at Bellator 201 in June 2018 for the Bellator Women's Flyweight World Championship. She was defeated by an armbar submission during the third round. Lara was defeated by unbeaten Brazilian potential Juliana Velasquez in her third fight at Bellator212 on December 14 in 2018. The fight ended in a split. Taylor Turner was next facing Lara in Bellator 220 on the 24th of August, 2019. She defeated Taylor Turner by TKO in round one. The unanimous decision was her win in the fight and she signed a contract for six fights with Bellator.
