Alejandra Lara

 Alejandra Lara (born August 4 1994) is a Colombian female mixed martial artist who is currently signed to the Bellator MMA promotion. She is currently ranked #10 in the Bellator Women's Flyweight Rankings, as on October 4 2022. [2Lara made her MMA debut on the 10th of December 2011 on Extreme Combat MMA Senshi Ki 1 against Monica Leon, winning the fight in the first round via retirement.Before entering Bellator MMA, she amassed an impressive record of six wins and 1 loss.Lara was first seen at Bellator 190 on December 9 the 9th of December, 2017. She beat Lena Ovchynnikova with a rear-naked choke in the third round. Bellator confirmed that she had extended her contract until February. In her second fight with Bellator, Lara faced Ilima Lei Macfarlane at Bellator 201 on June 2018 to fight the title of Bellator Women's Flyweight World Champion. In the third round, she lost with an armbar submission. Lara was knocked out by undefeated Brazilian potential Juliana Velasquez in her third fight at Bellator212 on the 14th of December on the 14th of December, 2018. She lost the fight via split decision.Lara next took on Taylor Turner at Bellator 225 on August 24 on the 24th of August, 2019. She took the fight via TKO in the opening round.Ahead of the fight, she used her appearance at the weigh-in ceremony to raise awareness about the plight of the Amazon's rain forests.Lara was then matched against Veta Arteaga at Bellator 235 on December 20 in 2019. The unanimous verdict won her the fight. She also signed a six-fight contract with Bellator.
