Sometimes, you can hear the voice inside your head that tells you what to do. Sometimes that voice comes out of your mouth. Her singing talent has already taken her from her home state of Oklahoma to national fame as a contestant on TV's hit talent competition The Voice. And now Adley Stump's voice is in full bloom on her debut EP called, Like an Lady. For the girl who was who was at the heart of the commotion, none of this was part of the plan. Stump was working on her public relations degree at Oklahoma State University, when her friends suggested that she audition for a part in a sorority musical. She'd been honing her skills as a dancer and cheerleader since childhood, but had never thought of the possibility that she might have a gift for singing as well. "We were all laughing when they tried," she recalls with a laugh. "But I'll try any challenge." So I began singing, and I believe that people were shocked by what came out. It was awe-inspiring to me. What came out was a voice as rich and sweetly beautiful as it was pure and genuine. She was able get the solo, but more importantly she was capable of finding a direction. She says that she felt the first moment of vulnerability and passion.
