Adele Haenel, French actress; French pronunciation: [adel enel] was born on 11 February 1989. She has received many awards, including two Cesar Awards from seven nominations and one Lumieres Award from two nominations.Haenel began her career as a child actor, making her film debut in Les Diables (2002) at the age of 12, and quickly rose to prominence in the French entertainment industry as an teen. Her first Cesar Award nomination was for Water Lilies (2007). This was also the start of her relationship with both professional and personal Celine Sciamma. In 2014, Haenel received her first Cesar Award for her supporting role in Suzanne, and in 2015 was awarded the Cesar Award for Best Actress for her performance in Love at First Fight. Her performance in BPM (Beats per minute) (2017), The Trouble with You (2018), and Portrait of a Lady On Fire (2019) continue to earn her recognition. Haenel is of Austrian descent through her father and speaks fluent German.Haenel began acting at age five and was involved in the local theatre.As an infant, she would imitate cartoon characters and characters, especially those of Tex Avery.
