 Aarti Lucica Sequeira (born 19 August 1978) is an Indian American cook and television TV personality best known for being the winner of Food Network's sixth season's reality television show, The Next Food Network Star.In 2010 following her win her program Aarti Party debuted on the network. Aarti Party was her first television show. Then she was the host of Taste in Translation, a Cooking Channel program that showcases the best dishes from all over the globe. She had previously worked as a CNN news producer and in 2008 started the online cooking show Aarti Paarti.Aarti Lucica Sequeira was born in Mumbai on August 19, 1978 Her family was originally from Mangalore located in Karnataka.She had two sisters and was raised in an traditional Indian Catholic home.When she was still an infant, her family moved to Dubai because of job opportunities for her father. Sequeira was born in the area. She was educated at an predominantly Indian school in Dubai at the age of seven , until she was transferred to an British school. This was a difficult change for her since she felt that she was being a outsider. She participated in music-related activities, such as playing piano and singing.
