Michael Strahan

 Michael Strahan, in full Michael Anthony Strahan, (born 21 November 1971, Houston, Texas, U.S.), American professional gridiron football player and television persona who, as a the defensive end of the New York Giants, established himself as one of the best players in the history of the National Football League (NFL). Strahan later enjoyed a lucrative career as a TV host.At age nine Strahan relocated to Germany because his father, who was a major in the U.S. Army, was stationed there. In the end, Strahan was a young Strahan did not play much played organized football in his early years. An ardent weightlifter, he gained strength enough to convince his father that he could earn an athletic scholarship to college which is why Strahan was taken to live with his uncle who was an NFL player--in Houston before his senior year of high school. He was able to get a scholarship to Texas Southern University. Texas Southern played in the college football of the lower divisions. Strahan was a record-breaker, setting records in his time at Texas Southern with 41.5 sacks during his four years there, was picked by the Giants in the 1993 NFL draft.
